The role itself requires someone who is confident working in a standalone role within an ever changing environment. As Bookkeeper you will need to be able to take the accounts to trial balance and prepare accounts for audit. This experience must be evident in your CV.

You will also be dealing with purchase and sales invoices, VAT returns and general accounts administration.

Technically the right person must be able to show good commercial knowledge of Sage Line 50, Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.

Key Objectives

1. Meeting with business managers to identify risks
2. Assistance in the development of the overall Internal Audit plan
3. Development of draft testing scopes for individual audits
4. Completion of on-site internal audits at operational units
5. Preparation of reports following on-site audits
6. Making recommendations to aid risk management and control and agreement of actions with local management
7. Tracking of achievement of Internal Audit recommendations
8. Assistance with the preparation of quarterly Audit Committee reports
9. Review of Commercial audit team reports for financial implications
10. Review and testing of business unit Peer reviews.
